New High School
Dallas, Texas
The new building is designed to serve 1,300 students in grades 10, 11 and 12. This state of the art high school also includes two gyms and a 580 seat auditorium. Besides rooms for core instruction, the four-level, 223,496-square-foot building has areas for a child development program, students with disabilities, a student-run coffee shop and the school’s Junior ROTC program, including a gun range designed to handle fire from .22-caliber weapons.
An expandable auto technology building stands near the main structure, not far from the new tennis courts and athletic fields, under which lie the wells of the school’s geothermal heating and cooling system.
