Data Center Retrofit and Expansion
The firm is working with QTS to do a major overhaul of the facility, turning it into a state-of-the-art data center. The design team is currently converting a 40-acre site into one of the largest data centers in the country. Currently we are providing structural engineering services transforming the former 700,000 square foot Maxim semiconductor manufacturing facility into a state-of-the-art data center. Initially the planned build-out is to total over 200,000 sq. ft. of raised floor expandable to support 600,000 sq. ft. of raised floor. Located on a 40-acre campus in the Irving/Las Colinas area, it has the ability to double the footprint on the existing campus to over 1.4 million square feet. At final build out, the construction budget could reach almost $1 Billion.
Total Construction: $420 Million ($1 Billion at final build-out)
Estimated Completion of Phase 1: 2014
