Located on twenty-three acres of steeply sloping terrain overlooking a golf course, the three-story auditorium is constructed into the hillside and is organized around an atrium that includes public spaces. A non-spectator gymnasium and 500-seat performing arts center were added in 2009, increasing the opportunities for physical education and fine arts programs offered at the school.
Architecturally, the steel-framed building is clad in multiple tones of stone-faced block and composite metal panels, simultaneously representing the geological slice into the hillside as well as the transition from old to new educational systems. Abundant natural light enters through clerestories and sunscreen-shaded windows.
